Pregnancy and the postpartum period are filled with transitions. Changes in mental health often accompany the physical changes, and may be just as overwhelming. Many women and their families need support in managing stress, interpersonal relationships, and the adjustment to becoming a parent.

A joint venture between University Hospitals and Clinics Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Psychiatry, Women’s Wellness and Counseling Service addresses women’s comprehensive mental health needs, with a special focus on perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. 

Women’s Wellness and Counseling Service’s mission is to provide state-of-the-art clinical care, conduct world-class research, and provide quality clinical education and training.
