Heart Assessment

While predicting if you will have a heart attack is a long shot at best, new screening tools can help predict which people with certain risk factors face a higher risk of suffering from cardiovascular disease. Have you taken a heart disease risk assessment online or in a magazine? What was your score? Were you borderline and unsure if you should be worried?

UI Heart and Vascular Center offers two comprehensive heart risk assessments to help determine your risk of heart disease.

Comprehensive heart risk assessment includes:

  • Consultation with a cardiac specialist
  • Lipid profile, including HDL, triglycerides, and glucose tests
  • Cardiac risk profile
  • 12-lead electrocardiogram
  • Blood pressure and heart rate
  • Body mass index
  • Follow-up with results

Comprehensive assessment and exercise consultation

  • All components of the comprehensive heart risk assessment
  • Diagnostic ECG-monitored exercise evaluation
  • Recommended exercise plan

For more information about the assessments, contact UI Heart and Vascular Center www.uihealthcare.com/heartcare
